On December 10, 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China issued the “Green Factory Assessment Requirements for Dairy Industry” draft standard. This standard is applicable to the green factories in the dairy industry that use raw milk or milk powder as the main raw material for production and processing. Green factory means harmless using of raw materials, clean production, waste recycling, and low-carbon energy. The standard also includes general requirements for green plant evaluation and construction. The draft is open for public consultation until January 10, 2021.
