Notifications No. 2020-54, of June 23, 2020, Labeling standards for health functional foods Korea Food and Drug Administration, refers to the indication of functional foods in accordance with Article 5 (3) and 6 (4) of the Enforcement Rules of the same Act as Article 4 and 5 of the Law on Advertising and Advertising of Food. This document sets up the detailed content and methods labeling standards, including Functionality and Nutrition information display, with the goal to improve the quality of functional foods and to provide accurate information to consumers. Revised labeling standards for nutritional and functional ingredients defines the method of labeling the content of other raw materials in the raw material name and content column - Others than listed, are prohibited (Article 6, Subparagraph 9 and 12, the name and content of other raw materials, photographs, images, etc.) -In the case of a product using one nutrient component or functional raw material, the name and content of the nutrient component or functional (indicator) component (per 1 intake or per intake per day) should be indicated on the main display (Article 5 (2) B) -Nutrition information, functional information, and intake precautions are revised to be displayed on the information display surface (Article 5 (3) B.
