Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety Announcement No. 2020-264 Announcement of partial revision of food standards and specifications (draft) Administrative Notice of June 6, 2020, aiming to support consumer's interest in health management and quality of life through the improvement of food choices and quality. The focus of the proposed revision are the adjustment of the classification system and standards for certain food groups, such as food for special medical use and foods advised to the elderly population. In order to ensure food safety, the proposal also covers the revision residual allowance standards and acceptance criteria for pesticides. Newly established and revised standards for pesticide residues in agricultural products are presented in Annex 4. The comment period is due to July 20, 2020.
